Power Systems Design Solutions Limited is an engineering design & consultancy company providing services to electrical power utilities and their supporting project groups within the conventional and renewable energy sectors. PSDS Ltd has over 85 years of combined expertise with its current Engineering Team in this niche area of design, application and integration of substation protection and control systems. Since company inception in 2008 we have secured numerous contracts allowing us to expediently expand our engineering capability and we’re looking to do that again going forward into a busy 2013 and onwards!!
We are therefore currently looking for the following three full-time positions within our company:-
Substation Design Engineer
The successful applicant will be an integral part of the Engineering Team and will have experience in the design of control and protection systems for electricity substations, this should include but not limited to:-
1] The preparation of single line diagrams, detailed circuit diagrams, logic diagrams, general arrangements and technical equipment schedules.
2] Interface engineering of cable connection drawings, including the design of cable schedules, cable block diagrams, termination sheets and cable sizing calculations.
3] The modification of existing site drawings, including the preparation of additions/deletions for drawings associated with site equipment’s.
4] The use of AutoCAD would ideally be preferred however in house training can be provided.
This position requires the ability to liaise technically with customers and suppliers both in meetings and over the telephone, as well as being able to offer specific technical support to other companies and site engineers when required.
The preferred minimum qualification for this position is HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent. However, consideration will be given to those who can demonstrate necessary experience and knowledge.
